Beyond Nature
Created as a collection in two assessments in the Concept Design Characters and Concept Design Environment courses of my degree, Beyond Nature is a story about an old, cynical cassowary coming across an abandoned juvenile in a mystical forest.
A Windy Day - Character Rig
This collection was one that was also put into practice for a character rigging course. While it would've probably had been more practical to demonstrate a simpler rig, I wanted to see how far I could take the rig with my usual style.

I did end up modifying the design for the actual animation, though I retained the character's design elements where possible.
Public Domain Work - Captain Nemo
This collection involved interpreting a public domain character in three different ways. Of the selection, I chose Captain Nemo, from 20000 Leagues Under the Sea. A collection of three, the general idea was to bring Captain Nemo's setting to outer space, with different intents.

This first one is intended for a straight retelling, with appropriate updates.
This second iteration was aimed at a younger audience, and loosely inspired by Nemo. This was made for an edutainment style series, giving a bright, colorful platform to help teach children on a variety of topics.
This version was designed for a 2D exploration/adventure game in mind. The concept was that Captain Nemo needs to find parts to repair the Nautilus. Eventually, he would make a crude spacecraft from the original vessel to further this goal.
Project Pitch - Red Red Run
Red Red Run was one of the project pitches that weren't greenlit. I had joined the project as a concept artist for Gerard Boynton around January 2021. It was intended to be a mix of 2D characters and 3D models. By the time of the presentation, I managed to get two turnarounds completed with their base colours down. Retouching has been done for these sheets.
A Tale of Three Vagabonds
This collection explored aspects of a setting I've desired to make, but wasn't sure where to actually start. As a part of a character design assessment, I used the setting as a basis, and created a part of that story from there.

Revisions have been made to these designs, to reflect an updated process.
